“Shangrila” is Tibetan transliteration, the meaning is “in heart's bright moonlight”, refers to one kind of ideal life the place. English is Shangri-La, the meaning is the paradise place. As the English external word, he presents the English writer James Hilton's novel which first published in 1933 "Loses Horizon".

Shangri-la scenic spot located at China Southwest, in Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet. Tibetan People and Naxi,YI, Bai,Hui people are living there.The Yunnan Shangri-la is situated at southeast the Qinghai-Tibet Plain the edge, in this scenic area the snowy peak is continuous, it has three rivers ,and has the vast mountain steppe pasture, the luxuriant virgin forest as well as many mountain lakes, most famous scenic site is in the Diqing county.
